London, United Kingdom - July 15, 2009, London, United Kingdom - RTS Realtime Systems Group, a trading solutions provider, announced that Mark van Vugt, Managing Director, Europe, has been promoted to Global Head of Sales, and that Stephane Lannoy joined the firm as Managing Director, Asia Pacific.

In his new role, Mr. van Vugt will expand his responsibilities from the United Kingdom, Continental Europe and the Middle East to oversee all worldwide sales efforts and teams. Mr. van Vugt joined RTS in 2001 to open the firm's Amsterdam office. Upon the successful launch, he continued to run the office as Managing Director, Amsterdam, assuming responsibility in 2007 also for Germany and all of continental Europe. This year, he took over responsibility for sales and support for all of Europe, including the United Kingdom. He has been active in the financial industry from trading, to front-office and back-office software for more than two decades. Prior to joining RTS, Van Vugt had been with Euronext for 14 years. He began his career there as a floor official at the European Options Exchange in Amsterdam and earned his Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in 1993, after which he moved into management roles.
Mr. Lannoy earned a master's degree in telecommunications and computer science from the University of Paris XIII. He began his career as a manager in telecommunications for Societe Generale in Paris in 1988. Mr. Lannoy, with more than 20 years of experience working in financial services and technology positions for one of the world's largest banks and futures brokerage firms, is leading the RTS Asia-Pacific unit, based in Singapore. He joins RTS from Newedge Group, where he most recently served as the Chief Information Officer for Asia Pacific, working out of the Hong Kong office. Mr. Lannoy has served in numerous leadership roles within Societe Generale Group, as well as Newedge and its predecessor, Fimat Group. He was the firm's Asia Pacific CIO since 2005, after serving as Americas CIO out of New York from 2001 to 2005. Previously, Mr. Lannoy was Manager of International Infrastructure Services for Fimat, out of Paris and Chicago. ■
