Foster City, Ca., USA - May 24, 2013, Foster City, Ca., USA - Visa Inc. announced the appointment of Ryan McInerney as president of Visa Inc.

Mr. McInerney joins Visa from JP Morgan Chase where he was the CEO of Consumer Banking. Previously, Mr. McInerney held several senior positions at JP Morgan Chase including roles in operations, risk management, product management and marketing. He also served on the company's executive committee. Prior to joining JP Morgan Chase, he was a principal at McKinsey & Company in the firm's retail banking and payments practices. Mr. McInerney received a finance degree from the University of Notre Dame in 1997.
Visa also announced the appointment of Elizabeth Buse to lead the newly created Global Solutions organization.
For the past three years, Ms. Buse has successfully led Visa's business in the fast growing Asia Pacific, Central Europe, Middle East and Africa region. Ms. Buse is the group president, APCEMEA for Visa Inc., with responsibility for overseeing Visa's global sales and client service functions across Asia-Pacific, Central Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
Previously, Ms. Buse was the global head of product for Visa Inc., leading all aspects of product strategy, development and growth. Prior to assuming the role of global head of product, she was executive vice president of product development and management for Visa USA, where she was responsible for the product development cycle — research, product innovation, new product development and product deployment — and for managing Visa USA’s consumer, small business and commercial products.
Before joining Visa USA in 1998, she served as vice president of strategic initiatives for the electronic funds division of First Data Corporation (FDC). Before FDC, she was a senior engagement manager at Windermere Associates, a management consulting firm.
Ms. Buse received her MBA from the Haas School at the University of California, Berkeley. She was a graduate fellow in Spanish linguistics at the Universidad Complutense in Madrid, Spain. She received her B.A. in Spanish linguistics from the University of California, Los Angeles.
In addition, Visa has appointed Bill Sheedy to lead corporate strategy, mergers and acquisitions, government relations as well as several other strategic initiatives to ensure Visa maintains its leadership position and strong client relationships in the payments industry.
Mr. Sheedy previously managed Visa's business across some of its largest geographies - North America, Central America, South America and the Caribbean. Prior to his leadership role in Visa's corporate restructuring in 2007 and successful initial public offering in 2008, he was responsible for expanding merchant acceptance and consumer usage of Visa, while providing oversight of areas responsible for industry cost and revenue studies, merchant incentive programs and improving the point-of-sale operating performance of Visa products. ■
