Sagent Advisors: Ronald Pillar joins as managing director

New York, N.Y., USA - Sagent Advisors, an investment bank, announced that Ronald Pillar has joined the firm as a managing director.

Mr. Pillar was most recently at Ladenburg Thalmann where he served as a Vice Chairman and Co-Head of Investment Banking.

Prior to that, he was at J.P. Morgan as the Head of Technology Investment Banking and a Managing Director in the Technology, Media and Telecom group.

While at J.P. Morgan, he headed the advisory team in the 2006 merger of Lucent Technologies and Alcatel of France, directed the $700 million initial public offering of Neustar as well as the $8 billion spin-off of Teradata from NCR Corp.

During his career, he has also worked at Merrill Lynch, Cowen & Company, InSight Venture Partners (which he co-founded in 1993) and Salomon Brothers Inc.
