Mr. McDermott is president of Global Field Operations and a member of the Executive Board of SAP AG. Prior to joining SAP, McDermott served as executive vice president of Worldwide Sales & Operations at Siebel Systems, and president of Gartner, Inc., where he led the company's core operations.
Mr. McDermott spent 17 years at Xerox Corporation, where he progressively rose through the ranks to become the company's youngest corporate officer and division president. He also served on the board of directors for two company subsidiaries.
Mr. McDermott is a member of several external boards, including the boards of ANSYS, Under Armour and PAETEC Communication. Mr. McDermott is a member of the Advisory Board for Villanova University, and the National Advisory Board for KIPP (Knowledge Is Power Program).
Mr. McDermott received an MBA degree from the J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University, and he completed the Executive Development Program at the University of Pennsylvania's Wharton Graduate School of Management. Mr. McDermott received his B.S. degree in business administration from Dowling College.
Mr. Snabe was appointed a member of the Executive Board of SAP AG, effective July 1, 2008. Mr. Snabe leads the newly created Business Solutions & Technology organization, responsible for product development of large enterprise solutions, SME solutions, and the technology platform.
Mr. Snabe joined SAP in 1990 and has held various management roles in consulting, sales, and development. Mr. Snabe's career at SAP began as a consultant with SAP Denmark, where he was quickly promoted to lead the local consulting practice. Mr. Snabe briefly departed SAP in 1994 for a position as practice leader at IBM Denmark.
Mr. Snabe returned to SAP in 1996 as managing director (MD) of SAP Sweden, a position he held for three years. Mr. Snabe was then appointed MD of the SAP Nordic region and soon became a member of the SAP EMEA management team.
In 2002, Mr. Snabe was asked to join the company's global development unit to bring development efforts closer to the market. Mr. Snabe served as senior vice president and chief operations officer of SAP's business solution group responsible for product development for SAP's flagship enterprise resource planning software, SAP ERP, as well as SAP solutions for financial and public services industries.
Later, Mr. Snabe took over responsibility for SAP's industry business unit responsible for developing industry-specific solutions for more than 24 industry segments. In 2006, Mr. Snabe was appointed corporate officer of SAP AG and subsequently was named a member of the Executive Council, which shares responsibilities for both customer-facing and product topics. In 2007, Mr. Snabe assumed leadership for the Business Suite organization, managing development efforts for the SAP Business Suite applications. ■
