Johannesburg, South Africa - Sasol Limited announced that Ernst Oberholster will replace senior group executive, Giullean Johann Strauss, as group executive, international energy, new business development and technology, effective October 1, 2013.

Mr. Oberholster is the current managing director of Sasol New Business Development.
Mr. Oberholster has been with Sasol for more than 23 years and has taken a leading role in the international energy and new business development arenas.
He has been the driving force behind the initiation of many of Sasol’s largest projects, including the US mega-projects, the Canadian gas acquisitions and Uzbeksitan GTL.
Mr. Oberholster has successfully developed Sasol New Business Development to be the primary negotiator in many of Sasol’s key projects and joint ventures.
Prior to his role at Sasol New Business Development, Mr. Oberholster held positions as the managing director of Sasol Synfuels International and the managing director of Sasol Oil.
In the early part of his career at Sasol, he was also the general manager of fuels marketing, and also took responsibility for supply, refining and planning.
He is a director on a number of Sasol boards and serves as a member of a number of Group Committees.
Mr. Strauss will retire from Sasol at the end of this month, having spent more than 30 years with Sasol.
Mr. Strauss serves as Senior Group Executive of International Energy, New Business Development & Technology at Sasol Ltd.
Mr. Strauss served as Senior Group Executive of New Business Development & Technology at Sasol Ltd. since July 1, 2010.
Mr. Strauss is responsible for Sasol Synfuels International, Sasol Petroleum International and Sasol Chevron.
He served as Group General Manager of Sasol Ltd. since August 2005 and Managing Director of Sasol Nitro and General Manager of Sasol Nitro Business since 1997.
Mr. Strauss joined Sasol in 1982 and served as an Investment Officer of Sasol Pension Fund.
He spent most of his career with Sasol Oil and served as General Manager of Manufacturing and Supply and General Manager of Marketing.
He served as General Manager of Sasol Gas since 1997.
He also serves as a Director of several companies in the Sasol group. ■
