Calgary, AB, Canada – Saxon Energy Services Inc., an international oilfield services company, announced that it has named Derek Normore as president and chief executive officer.[break]
Most recently, Mr. Normore served as President of Pathfinder since 2011. Prior to joining Pathfinder in 2011, Mr. Normore was an Integration Project Manager following the merger between Schlumberger Ltd and Smith International, Inc. Prior to the Smith Integration in 2010,
Mr. Normore was the President of Schlumberger Canada Ltd and Canada Geomarket Manager.
Mr. Normore will join the company’s Board of Directors. He succeeds Mick McNulty who served as Chief Executive Officer since 2010.
Mr. McNulty joined Saxon in October, 2005 bringing with him more than 30 years of experience in the oilfield services industry. Mr. McNulty has worked closely with the management team at Saxon in growing the organization from a small company based primarily in South America to an organization that now operates 68 rigs in North America, Mexico, South America and Australia.
Prior to joining Saxon, Mr. McNulty was the Senior Vice President Operations Finance at Precision Drilling Corporation from January 1997 to September 2005. Prior to that, Mr. McNulty spent three years with Nowsco Well Services Ltd. in Europe and Canada as - March 18, 2013, Calgary, AB, Canada – Saxon Energy Services Inc., an international oilfield services company, announced that it has named Derek Normore as president and chief executive officer.
