Sears Canada announces leadership change

Toronto, ON, Canada - September 26, 2014, Toronto, ON, Canada - Sears Canada Inc. announced that Douglas C. Campbell, president and CEO, intends to resign from the company and return to the United States by the end of this calendar year.




Mr. Campbell served as the Chief Operating Officer and Executive Vice President of Sears Canada Inc. from November 16, 2012 to September 24, 2013. Mr. Campbell served as Senior Vice-President of Major Appliances at Sears Canada Inc. since December 2011. He served as a Vice- President, Major Appliances and Electronics of Sears Canada Inc. from May 2011 to December 2011.

Before joining Sears Canada, Mr. Campbell was a Principal at Boston Consulting Group from 2005 to May 2011. He has been a Non-Independent Director of Sears Canada Inc. since September 24, 2013. In 2005, Mr. Campbell earned a Masters of Business Administration with a concentration in Finance from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania.
