Senergy appoints Oystein Roti as managing director

Stavanger, Norway - August 25, 2010, Stavanger, Norway - Global diversified energy services company Senergy appoints Oystein Roti as managing director to head up its expanding Norway operation.

The founder and CEO of successful Norwegian companies 4Sea Energy and Orocom, Mr. Oystein has had a distinguished career in the energy sector spanning more than 20 years. A former vice president of DONG Energy AS, he has also held various international positions with Shell, as well as spending several years as asset manager for Shell E&P Norway AS.

Previously a senior director and vice president of DONG Energy AS, Mr. Oystein led the business unit’s portfolio of producing and development oil and gas fields in Norway and Denmark. He also managed the acquisition of a percentage share of the Shell-operated Ormen Lange gas field in 2005.

Prior to joining DONG in 2004, he was asset manager for Shell E&P Norway AS where he was responsible for managing the Gjoa, Norne, Skarv, Idun and Alve oil and gas fields as well as acting as representative for Norway/UK cross border treaty negotiations for the Statfjord assets.

Oystein served with the Norwegian army before graduating from London’s Imperial College in 1991 with a Petroleum Engineering honours degree. During his academic career he worked as a summer intern reservoir engineer with Enterprise Oil and Amerada Hess in Norway.
