Senex Energy appoints new chairman

Brisbane, Australia - March 12, 2015, Brisbane, Australia - Senex Energy Limited, an energy company, announces that it has appointed Trevor Bourne as chairman.

Mr. Bourne was appointed a non-executive director of Senex on 1 December 2014. Mr. Bourne has served as chair or director of a number of public companies in Australia. He was a founding director of Origin Energy Limited following the Boral demerger from February 2000 until October 2012. Over that time, he chaired the Remuneration Committee and served on the Audit and Safety Committees.

He was the Chief Executive of Tenix Investments Pty Ltd from 1999 to 2003, and he spent 15 years with Brambles Industries Limited, with six of those years as Managing Director of their Australian and Asian operations. Earlier in his career, he spent 15 years at BHP Billiton and eight years with Incitec Pivot Limited.

Mr. Bourne is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors with a Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical) from the University of New South Wales and an MBA from the University of Newcastle.
