Vancouver, BC, Canada - October 2, 2013, Vancouver, BC, Canada - Sierra Wireless, an IT company, announced the departure of Didier Dutronc, senior vice president, OEM Solutions and regional general manager for EMEA.

Mr. Dutronc joined Sierra Wireless in March 2009 from Wavecom, where he served as Vice President and Head of Asia-Pacific Region, and as Managing Director of Wavecom Asia Pacific Ltd. Prior to taking this position in September of 2004, he was Vice President of the Personal Communications Device Business Division. Mr. Dutronc joined Wavecom in March 2003.
Prior to joining Wavecom, he served as Worldwide VP Sales and Marketing for Alcatel Optronics from 1997 to 2000 and served as President and CEO of Alcatel Optronics, Inc., in Dallas, Texas from 2000 to 2003. Prior to joining Alcatel, Mr. Dutronc held positions at Analog Devices and Texas Instruments.
Dan Schieler, previously Senior Vice President of Worldwide Sales, has now moved into the role of Senior Vice President and General Manager, OEM Solutions.
Mr. Schieler joined Sierra Wireless as Vice President of North American Sales in 2003, when AirPrime, Inc. was acquired by Sierra Wireless. At AirPrime he was Vice President of Worldwide Sales and Marketing.
Mr. Schieler’s extensive experience as an international OEM sales and marketing leader includes positions as AirPrime's Senior Director of OEM Sales and Strategic Partnerships, and Director of OEM Sales for the Central and Eastern United States. Prior to joining AirPrime, he worked for Xircom's OEM division where he managed accounts with top-tier OEM computing manufacturers.
Emmanuel Walckenaer, Senior Vice President and General Manager, Enterprise Solutions, will assume Regional General Management responsibilities for EMEA.
Mr. Walckenaer joined Sierra Wireless in March 2009 from Wavecom, where he served as Vice President of Intelligent Device Services from 2007 to 2009. During his ten-year career at Gemplus (now Gemalto), he created the Over-the-Air software offering complete with a support hotline and training unit. He also headed up the EMEA wireless service branch and set up the North and South American Gemplus service organizations to support both telecom and ID Security. ■
