Sir Roger Carr joins BAE Systems as chairman

Arlington, Va., USA - June 12, 2013, Arlington, Va., USA - BAE Systems plc, a global defense company, announced that Sir Roger Carr will join the board as a non-executive director and chairman designate, effective October 1, 2013.

Sir Roger joined the Board of Centrica as a Non-Executive Director on January 1, 2001. He was appointed Chairman of the Board in May 2004 and is Chairman of the Nominations Committee. During 2011, he was appointed president of the CBI and a member of the UK Prime Minister's Business Advisory Group. He remains deputy chairman and senior independent director of the Court of the Bank of England.

Sir Roger is also a senior adviser to Kohlberg Kravis Roberts and a trustee of the Landau Forte Charitable Trust. He has previously held a number of senior appointments including chairman of Mitchells & Butlers plc and Cadbury plc.
