Sir Roger Carr to step down from Centrica board

Windsor, United Kingdom - June 12, 2013, Windsor, United Kingdom - Centrica, an energy company, announced that Sir Roger Carr will step down on or before the AGM in May 2014.

Sir Roger joined the Board as a Non-Executive Director on January 1, 2001. He was appointed Chairman of the Board in May 2004 and is Chairman of the Nominations Committee. During 2011, he was appointed president of the CBI and a member of the UK Prime Minister's Business Advisory Group. He remains deputy chairman and senior independent director of the Court of the Bank of England.

Sir Roger is also a senior adviser to Kohlberg Kravis Roberts and a trustee of the Landau Forte Charitable Trust. He has previously held a number of senior appointments including chairman of Mitchells & Butlers plc and Cadbury plc.
