Sterling Energy announces board change

London, United Kingdom - June 30, 2009, London, United Kingdom - an oil and gas company, announced that Mr. Harry Wilson, Executive Deputy Chairman and former CEO, would leave the Company no later than the end of September 2009.

Mr. Wilson graduated under a British Petroleum scholarship Programme. Harry George Wilson has been the Chief Executive Officer of Sterling Energy Plc since October 2002 and serves as its Executive Director. He joined BP and worked for 17 years as a Geophysicist and subsequently served as a senior exploration manager (in BP offices worldwide) and in corporate finance. In 1987, he set up an independent exploration and production company – Kirkland Resources (Holdings) plc. In 1997, he co-established Endeavour Oil & Gas LP, and following a successful sale of Endeavour’s US subsidiary in 2000 was a founding partner and chairman of Sterling LP. Mr. Wilson served as Non Executive Director of Forum Energy Plc. since July 2005.
