Sterling Energy CEO, director Angus MacAskill resigns

London, United Kingdom - August 19, 2013, London, United Kingdom - Sterling Energy, an upstream exploration and production company, announced the resignation of Angus MacAskill as chief executive officer and director.

Mr. MacAskill joined Sterling as Chief Executive Officer in November 2010. His career in the oil and gas industry started in 1981 with 5 years at Schlumberger on assignments in Africa. He joined Mobil Oil and, during 10 years with the company, held a number of production, reservoir engineering and managerial posts in UK and Norway.
