Tampe, Az., USA - October 28, 2009, Tampe, Az., USA - PCT International, a manufacturer of last mile and access network solutions for broadband communications networks, announced that Steve Craddock, one of the most respected technologists in the cable telecommunications industry, has accepted the position of Executive Vice President and Chief Technology Officer.

Mr. Craddock, a key figure in the development of such innovations as High-Speed Internet, Video on Demand and Voice over IP, most recently had served as senior vice president of technology in the Office of the CTO for Comcast Corporation. With PCT International, he will responsible for articulating the company's technical vision and accelerating the development of advanced product lines for the portfolios of PCT International and the company's Channel Master® brand.
A veteran of more than 35 years in cable and telecommunications, Craddock oversaw Comcast's involvement in the DOCSIS®, PacketCable® and CableHome® initiatives, and directly represented Comcast on the DOCSIS and PacketCable development teams. Mr. Craddock chaired the PacketCable Certification Board and the PacketCable Business Committee and was a founding member and Comcast voting member on the CableLabs DOCSIS Certification Board. He also led the technical due diligence on a number of major Comcast investment initiatives in the technology space.
Immediately prior to joining Comcast, Mr. Craddock served as vice president of Bell Atlantic Corporation, and was a principal figure in the company's DSL, fiber optic (FTTH), cable television and interactive video initiatives. During two decades with Bell Atlantic and AT&T, Mr. Craddock was extensively involved in engineering, operations, product development and strategic planning across the voice, video and data markets.
Mr. Craddock has also served as the CEO of a software development company, has consulted in the fields of engineering and computer services, and has performed due diligence for venture capital work. He is a present or past member of the technical advisory boards for a number of high technology companies and serves or has served as a member of the board of directors for a number of public and private companies. ■
