Tier One Capital appoints four directors

Toronto, ON, Canada - April 17, 2015, Toronto, ON, Canada - Tier One Capital LP has appointed John Nyholt, Robert Roy, John Richardson and Stephen Watzeck as directors of the board of T1 General Partners Corp.

John Nyholt retired from PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP in 2013 after 35 years with the firm, including the last 20 years as a partner in the consulting and deals practice. He has broad experience in audit and accounting services, restructurings, financings, and mergers and acquisitions.

Mr. Nyholt serves as a director of Halton Healthcare Services Corp., which operates the hospitals in Oakville, Milton and Georgetown, Ont. He chairs the finance and audit committee, and also serves on the governance, strategic planning and nominations committees. He is also a director of Mad Catz Interactive Inc.

Mr. Nyholt is a chartered professional accountant (CPA, CA), and holds HBA and MBA degrees from the Richard Ivey School of Business, Western University. He has completed the director education program (ICD.D) of the Institute of Corporate Directors.

Robert Roy is currently a consultant to a number of business ventures. He was the managing director of equity and head of ventures for Roynat Capital, a subsidiary of a Canadian chartered bank, from January, 1996, to July, 2012.

While at Roynat, Mr. Roy was involved in sourcing, structuring, investing, monitoring and divesting its equity investments, as well as representing Roynat's interests on the board of numerous investee companies.

Mr. Roy has over 30 years of experience in mergers and acquisitions, private equity, and venture capital. He served as a director of the Canadian Venture Capital Association from 1991 to 1997, and was conference chairman in 1992. He is a chartered professional accountant (CPA,CA), and received a bachelor of commerce degree from McMaster University.

John Richardson is the CEO of T1 General Partner Corp., and the founder, president and a director of B.E.S.T. Investment Counsel Ltd. Currently, he serves as a director on a number of private company boards.

Mr. Richardson is a chartered professional accountant (CPA,CA) and a chartered business valuator, and holds a master of business administration degree from the State University of New York and a certificate pratique de la langue Francaises from the University de Savoie in France.

Stephen Watzeck is currently a partner, and serving in the roles of chairman and chief commerical officer to commercially launch globally Fibracast Ltd., an advanced water technology company. Mr. Watzeck is also a board member of Anaergia, where he served as CEO from 2011 to early 2014.

Prior to joining Anaergia, Mr. Watzeck spent five years with General Electric Water and Process Technologies in multiple senior executive roles, including chief strategy and marketing officer; president, engineered systems; general manager, global engineering and project execution; and president and general manager of Zenon after its acquisition by General Electric in 2006.

Prior to General Electric, Mr. Watzeck spent 12 years at Zenon Environmental Inc., and held several positions including serving as senior vice-president, Americas, and vice-president, municipal.
