Bellevue, Wa., USA - October 20, 2010, Bellevue, Wa., USA - T-Mobile USA announced that Philipp Humm is the new president and chief executive officer.

Mr. Humm is an experienced Deutsche Telekom executive and former CEO of T-Mobile Deutschland. He was previously responsible for sales and service in Europe as chief regional officer (CRO) Europe.
Mr. Humm also brings significant U.S. market experience having 10 years of senior-level experience at U.S.-based companies including McKinsey & Company, Procter & Gamble, and Amazon before joining Deutsche Telekom.
Mr. Humm served as CEO of T-Mobile Deutschland from 2005 until 2008. He took over a company in a declining market and successfully turned it around during his tenure to become Germany’s leading mobile operator in both subscribers and service revenues.
Mr. Humm was also responsible for the successful market introduction of the iPhone in Germany in 2007.
Mr. Humm succeeds Robert P. Dotson, former president and CEO, who moves to vice chairman of the T-Mobile USA Board.
Mr. Dotson serves as Senior Vice President of Marketing and Sales at Omnipoint Corporation. Mr. Dotson has been the Chief Executive Officer of T-Mobile USA Inc. (formerly, VoiceStream Wireless Corp.) since March 2003 and as its President since April 2002.
Mr. Dotson served as a Member of the Board of Management T-Mobile International AG & Co. KG since June 2002, responsible for US Operations. Since December 2002, he was responsible for T-Mobile's entire US business. He served as Executive Vice President of Marketing and Business Operations at T-Mobile USA Inc. since March 12, 2001.
Mr. Dotson served as Chief Operating Officer of T-Mobile USA since September 2001 and Executive Vice President Sales and Marketing from May 1998 to September 2001. From May 3, 1999 to March 12 2001, Mr. Dotson served as Senior Vice President, Marketing and Sales of T-Mobile USA.
From 1996 to May 1999, he served as Vice President, Marketing of T-Mobile USA. He started his professional career in 1989 with Pepsico, where he was responsible in various marketing fields. Mr. Dotson held various marketing positions with PepsiCo's KFC restaurant group, serving as Senior Director of Concept Development, Director of International Marketing, Divisional Marketing Director, Senior Director, and Marketing USA of Kentucky Fried Chicken.
Mr. Dotson later moved on to Western Wireless Cooperation, predecessor of T-Mobile USA as Vice President, Marketing of Western Wireless. He has been Chairman Emeritus at Cellular Telecommunications & Internet Association since January 1, 2010.
