Transpower appoints new chief executive

Wellington, New Zealand - September 23, 2013, Wellington, New Zealand - Transpower New Zealand, an electrical distribution technology company, announced the appointment of Alison Andrew to the position of chief executive, replacing Patrick Strange when he departs in early 2014.

Ms. Andrew is an engineer by background and has held a number of senior executive roles across numerous industry sectors including energy, chemicals, dairy, pulp and paper. Ms. Andrew’s most recent role was Global Head of Chemicals for Orica and she has been a Director of Genesis Energy since 2012. Prior to that, she was Chief Executive of Lexicon group and held a number of senior roles at Fonterra Cooperative Group and Fletcher Challenge Energy.
