Two directors retire from OneSavings Bank

Chatham, United Kingdom - May 5, 2014, Chatham, United Kingdom - OneSavings Bank plc, a lending and retail savings group, announces that Sir Callum McCarthy and David J. Mills have retired from the board.

Sir Callum joined Kent Reliance in 2010. He is Chairman of Promontory Financial Group (UK) Ltd and was Chairman of J.C. Flowers & Co UK Ltd from November 2009 to May 2012. He also serves as a Non-Executive Director on a number of other financial services firms. He was previously Chairman of the Financial Services Authority, and Chairman and CEO of Ofgem.

Between 1993 and 1998 Sir Callum held senior positions at Barclays Bank, including Chief Executive Officer for the Barclays Group first in Japan and then in North America. Prior to this, he was Managing Director and Deputy Head of Corporate Finance at Barclays de Zoete Wedd, London. From 1985 to 1989 he was a Director of Corporate Finance at Kleinwort Benson.

Mr. Mills joined Kent Reliance in 2010. He was the Chief Executive of the Post Office and a Director of Royal Mail Holdings plc from 2002 to 2005 before joining Cardpoint (which later merged with Payzone plc), as the Senior Independent Director in 2006.

Prior to his roles at the Post Office Mr. Mills spent 40 years first with Midland Bank plc and then HSBC Bank plc in the UK, directing, managing and controlling the Personal Banking Sector. He conceived and established First Direct.
