Milton, Australia - February 11, 2013, Milton, Australia - Transpacific Industries Group, a recycling, waste management and industrial services company, announced that chairman Gene Tilbrook, and non-executive director Bruce Brown, will be retiring.

Mr. Tilbrook joined the Transpacific Board in September 2009. He was appointed Chairman three years ago. He was Finance Director at Wesfarmers Limited until his retirement in May 2009, having joined Wesfarmers in 1985 and holding a number of positions in its Finance and Business Development Departments during this time.
Mr. Tilbrook is a Non-Executive Director of Fletcher Building (appointed September 2009), GPT Group (appointed May 2010) and QR National Limited (appointed April 2010). He is a former Non-Executive Director of NBN Co (resigned August 2012).
Mr. Tilbrook holds tertiary qualifications in science, computing science and business administration (MBA) and has completed the Advanced Management Program at the Harvard Business School. He is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
Mr. Brown joined the Transpacific Board in March 2005. He was Chief Executive Officer of Campbell Brothers Limited until his retirement in 2005, having held finance and senior management positions with that company since 1976. He is currently a Non-Executive Director of Campbell Brothers Limited (appointed October 2005).
Mr. Brown holds a tertiary qualification in Commerce. He is a fellow of the Austrailan Institute of Company Directors.
The company also announced that it has appointed current Deputy Chairman, Martin Hudson, as the new Chairman, and Mike Harding and Mark Chellew as Non-Executive Directors, effective March 1, 2013.
Mr. Hudson joined the Transpacific Board in September 2009. He was Senior Vice President Commercial Affairs and Chief Legal Counsel at Foster’s Group Limited until his retirement in July 2009. Prior to that he held the Company Secretary and Chief General Counsel position with Southcorp Limited, was General Counsel to the Pacific Dunlop Group of Companies, and was also for more than 20 years, a partner of national law firm Freehills.
Mr. Hudson is a non-executive Director of NM Superannuation Pty Ltd (the Trustee of Axa Asia Pacific Holdings Limited’s public superannuation funds). Mr. Hudson holds tertiary qualifications in Law. He is a Member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
Mr. Harding is Chairman of Downer EDI Limited, a Non-Executive Director of Santos Limited and Roc Oil Company Limited and a former Non-Executive Director of Clough Limited. He has held management positions around the world with British Petroleum, including President and General Manager of BP Exploration Australia. ■
