Val Soranno Keating to step down as Barclaycard CEO

London, United Kingdom - May 13, 2015, London, United Kingdom - Barclays has announced that the CEO of Barclaycard, Val Soranno Keating, has decided to pursue a new professional challenge outside the bank.

Ms. Soranno Keating joined Barclaycard in June 2009 after a 16-year career at American Express, where she was a member of the Global Management team and held a variety of senior executive positions.

Prior to American Express, she spent eight years as a management consultant with A.T. Kearney where she advised Fortune 500 companies on operational excellence and business strategy.

Ms. Soranno Keating is a member of the Board of Visa Europe, chairs the Barclays Global Payment Council and is Chairman of the Board of Barclays Bank of Delaware.
