Vancouver, BC, Canada - August 12, 2013, Vancouver, BC, Canada - Vangold Resources Ltd., a mineral exploration company, announced the resignation of Bruce Counts as interim CEO and president and that he has stepped down from the board of directors.

Mr. Counts has been involved in the mineral exploration industry for more than 25 years. Between 1992 and 1997 he was employed by BHP Minerals Canada Ltd. and was an integral member of the team responsible for the discovery and development of the Ekati Diamond Mine(tm).
In 1997 Mr. Counts joined Dia Met Minerals Ltd. and was senior consultant on their international portfolio of projects until the sale of the company in 2001. Following this, he consulted to junior exploration companies until 2004, when he became President and CEO of Bluestone Resources Inc. Mr. Counts is also founder and Director of West Melville Metals Inc.
He holds a degree in Geological Engineering from the University of British Columbia and is a Professional Geophysicist.
The Company announces the appointment of Andrew Rockandel as its new President and CEO, the appointment of Anna Serin as its new Corporate Secretary, and welcomes both Mr. Rockandel and Jay Sujir to the board of directors.
Mr. Rockandel brings more than 25 years of business development, capital markets and equity financing experience to Vangold from both private and public companies. Working with the Northair Group of Companies in 1997 and most recently with the Aurora Mineral Resource Group since 2010. Mr. Rockandel brings a wealth of experience along with an extensive network of contacts with the financial community throughout North America, the United Kingdom and continental Europe.
Ms. Serin has worked in investment, wealth management and the capital markets industry for more than 10 years involved in sales, research, financial planning and marketing. She has been with Vangold since early 2012 and is involved in all areas of the company including investor relations and corporate administration.
Mr. Sujir is a corporate, securities and natural resources lawyer who has more than 27 years of experience in advising and assisting public companies in Canada. He has been a partner with Anfield, Sujir Kennedy & Durno LLP and its predecessor firms since 1991 and is currently the senior partner of that firm. ■
