Whirlpool announces leadership changes in EMEA region

Benton Harbor, Mich., USA - December 10, 2014, Benton Harbor, Mich., USA - Marc Bitzer, vice chairman of Whirlpool Corporation, announced global leadership changes related to Whirlpool's acquisition of Indesit Company.

Esther Berrozpe, President of Whirlpool EMEA, will assume leadership of the company's integrated European business, effective January 1, 2015.

In this role, Ms. Berrozpe will be responsible for the combined operations of Whirlpool and Indesit.

Ms. Berrozpe was named president of Whirlpool Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) and executive vice president of Whirlpool Corporation on May 1, 2013.

Previously, she was vice president European Markets for Whirlpool EMEA.

Prior to joining Whirlpool, Ms. Berrozpe held posts with Wella Group in Spain, Sara Lee and Paglieri in Italy. She joined Whirlpool EMEA in 2000.

At Whirlpool, she has held a number of positions of increasing scope and responsibility, starting in Spain as marketing director, then moving on to Italy and the United States, where she was vice president brands and products prior to returning to Europe 2012.

Ms. Berrozpe holds a degree in Economics and Business Administration from Deusto University in Spain. Through the Erasmus program she also attended courses in Economics and International Business at the University of Bergamo, in Italy.

Marco Milani has announced his plans to step down from his position as Indesit Chief Executive Officer effective December 31, 2014.

Mr. Milani graduated in engineering and became Chairman and CEO of Indesit Company on 7 May 2013, after serving as CEO since 2004. Having joined Indesit Company in 1980, he held increasingly important posts, both industrial and commercial, in Italy and above all abroad.

In 1998 and until the acquisition of Stinol in 2000, he became responsible for the CIS market (former Soviet Republics) and the other Eastern countries, based in Moscow.
