Stamford, Conn., USA - November 29, 2010, Stamford, Conn., USA - XLerant, a provider of financial software solutions, announced that William J. Wilcoxson has been named chief executive officer.

Mr. Wilcoxson joins XLerant with more than 20 years of experience in venture capital and private equity investments, with a focus on early-stage information technology.
Most recently, Mr. Wilcoxson served as general partner of Axiom Venture Partners, where he achieved an impressive track record of results and made significant strategic and tactical contributions as a board member or advisor to his portfolio companies, among Albridge Solutions, Centerpost Communications and MX Logic.
Mr. Wilcoxson currently serves as an advisor to the Boards of airwide solutions and MX Logic. Earlier, he was a venture capital and private equity investor in companies such as Andover.net, Breakaway Solutions, Metatomix, Micro-E, NexCen Technologies, and Vibrint Technologies.
The company also announced that Ted Dacko has joined the company as executive chairman, and Jim Perakis has joined the XLerant board of directors.
The former CEO of HealthMedia, Mr. Dacko brings more than 36 years of experience in executive-level management and leadership to XLerant—including sales, marketing, chief executive and mergers and acquisitions—principally in the area of software applications and solutions.
Mr. Dacko brings's leadership was instrumental in growing HealthMedia into one of the country's leading health promotion and disease management companies and its sale to Johnson & Johnson, as well as the successful exits of a number of early-stage companies.
Mr. Dacko brings also has deep experience with corporate-class software, serving in leadership roles in larger organizations including Hyperion Software (sold to Oracle), Comshare and General Electric.
Mr. Perakis was the CEO of Hyperion, a pioneer in enterprise financial reporting, planning and budgeting software, from 1985 to 1998, overseeing growth from startup through IPO to sales of over $300 million.
Previously, Mr. Perakis was CFO of Interactive Data Corporation, and Vice President, Budgeting and Planning at Chase Manhattan Corporation. In addition to XLerant, Perakis serves on the boards of Black Diamond Reporting Systems, a provider of web-based software for investment advisors, and Sparta Systems, a provider of quality management software. ■
