Canada wants to import apples from Ukraine

Canada is interested in importing Ukrainian food products, especially apples. This was reported by the press service of the State Service for Food Safety and Consumer Rights after the meeting of the head of the department, Vladimir Lapa, with a regional representative of the Canadian Food Control Agency, said the Ukrainian information agency Unian.

According to reports, the talks served to discuss the issue of the admission of Ukrainian products to the Canadian market. The Canadian side expressed special interest in the import of Ukrainian eggs, meat products and apples.

Therefore, Ukraine will visit the competent inspection body of Canada next May for an audit of the Ukrainian state control system. The agreement at the same time is removing up to 98% of all trade restrictions and customs duties affecting mutual trade between the two countries
