Hungary crop prices fall 9.7 percent

In October of this year costs for agricultural producers fell by 5.2% in Hungary.

This data comes from the Central Statistical Office (KSH) and covers the agriculture industry as a whole and saw various rises and falls. According to the data, prices of crop products saw a fall of 9.7% in the same period.

The price of fruits decreased by 11%, and vegetables by 10%. Not everything saw falls though as potato prices were up by 3.1% by the end of the period.

Vegetables prices were down 2.5% over the ten-month period, and fruits price dropped by 3.2%.

Overall, the country saw a large drop in value for the agricultural industry. If the drops keep pace, Hungary's industry could face challenges ahead.
