Gazprom's board of directors will vote on October 2 on whether to approve the opening of an office in Azerbaijan.

A quarterly report on the Russian gas giant's purchasing activities will also be presented to the board, according to the meeting’s agenda published on the website of Interfax Corporate Information Disclosure Center.

Gazprom supplied gas to Azerbaijan from 2000 to 2006, but then shipments stopped due to the launch of the Shahdeniz field.
