Anne Bowen began designing at a very young age; she experimented with rich colors, textures, and draping. Her design possess simplicity in silhouette with an exquisite structure often adorned with semiprecious and precious stones. Her first collection debuted in Bergdorf Goodman in 1999 and has subsequently sold through retailers globally to Saks Fifth Avenue, Neiman, Villa Moda in Kuwait, to Joyce Stores in Hong Kong.
The designs of Anne Bowen have graced the red carpet at The Academy Awards, Golden Globes, Cannes Film Festival and have also appeared on The Oprah Winfrey Show, CNN, Entertainment Tonight and Access Hollywood, just to name a few programs. She has also lent her design expertise to the red carpet fashion commentary at The Oscars and Cannes Film Festival.
Anne Bowen has dressed high profile celebrities such as Beyonce, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Angelina Jolie, Jessica Alba, Kim Cattrall, Cameron Diaz, Kristen Dunst, Britney Spears, Kate Bosworth, Reese Witherspoon, and many more. In addition, well known musicians have preformed live at her Fashion Week runway shows, helping to fuse couture with hip hop. Her energy and spirit have brought together artists such as Grammy award winning De La Soul, who preformed during one of her major runway shows.
Anne Bowen has designed for the work of interiors including the showrooms for Seven for All Mankind, creating custom pieces in white marble pebble panels, textured cement walls cooled with granite marble tables, exotic wood table tops with henna colored, and leather accent chairs. She has also been commissioned by high-end, luxury hotels to create uniforms that reflect the aesthetic of luxury resorts.
