Brunei reports 2 new COVID-19 cases, 205 in total

Brunei reported two new confirmed cases of COVID-19 on Saturday, bringing the national tally to 205.

According to Brunei's Ministry of Health, Case 204 is a 34-year-old man and Case 205 is a 43-year-old man, who both arrived in the country from Indonesia on March 7, 2021. The contact tracing for the two cases is still being conducted.

At present, a total of 14 active cases are still quarantined in the National Isolation Centre.

With the detection of these cases, a total of 64 imported cases have been confirmed since the last local infection case on May 6, 2020. Brunei has recorded 318 days without local COVID-19 infection cases.

Brunei also reported one more recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic on Saturday, bringing the total number of recovered patients to 188. There have been three deaths reported from COVID-19 so far in Brunei.
