India, Philippines confirm first cases of Wuhan coronavirus

India and Philippines yesterday confirmed their first cases in the coronavirus outbreak which originated from China.Article continues below

In India, the case was reported from the southern Kerala province. The Philippines Health Ministry also confirmed the first case of the virus in the country but gave no details, the Manila Times reported.
An Indian student who returned from Wuhan, capital of the Hubei province and the virus’ epicenter, reached Kerala Thursday and tested positive for the coronavirus, the Indian Express reported.
