Phantom Drophead Coupe offers both driver and passengers a dual experience - intimate and cocooning or embracing the elements depending on whether the roof is raised or lowered. Inspired by the J-class racing yachts of 1930s known for their performance and use of natural materials, the result is a car that epitomises romantic, performance motoring. The optional teak deck was inspired by classic racing yachts. Each deck is hand-made from 30 separate pieces of teak cut from the same tree for consistent grain.[break]


Phantom Drophead Coupe is ideal for social and sporting occasions, offering a versatile boot with space for a hamper and comfortable picnic seat for two. Even when the hood is lowered, there is still plenty of space for weekend cases or a set of golf clubs in the luggage compartment.

Phantom Drophead Coupe features a new three-flute seat design in both the front and rear seats. You can also choose to personalise the seats further with contrast stitching, piping and embroidery. The hand-stitched leatherwork takes over two weeks to complete, with nine hides required for each interior. Pre-shrunk and drum-dyed so the colour permeates right through; the soft, supple full-grain leather won't squeak or crack. You can choose from a wide range of mono and contrast colour combinations.

Outside, there are sixteen colours to choose from or the people from Rolls can mix any colour you want, maybe from a favourite tie or lipstick, their Bespoke programme offers 44,000 hues. Further personalisation includes two-tone finishes and hand-painted five-metre coachlines. You can choose from 12 different wheels, five designs with up to three finishes. All wheels feature unique self-righting wheel centres that always display the Rolls-Royce monogram the right way up. Yes, the attention to the smallest details is what make Rolls Rolys so special.

The muscular aluminium V12 engine offers effortless power, with 75% of torque available from 1,000 rpm. With a low centre of gravity and slightly rear-biased weight, Phantom Drophead Coupe's drive is as spirited as its looks suggest. Phantom Drophead Coupe features an advanced aluminium spaceframe adapted from Phantom. Hand-welded from over 500 separate parts with over 100 metres of weld it is incredibly light but strong. The new 8-speed gearbox offers a greater choice of gears, reduced CO2 emissions with better fuel consumption.

Phantom Drophead Coupe features a new infotainment system to make every journey more enjoyable. The new 8.8-inch front monitor gives you a clear view whether you're using the new hard drive-based navigation system on the road or watching a DVD while stationary. The redesigned rotary controller puts everything at your fingertips for effortless operation. The smartphone cradle, USB and Aux-in options all offer improved connectivity to keep you in touch with your world. And a nNew camera systems offer all-round views of Phantom Drophead Coupe.
