Planning the weekend around the globe (14)
You know what they people said: Give a man a fish and feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish and he will sit in a boat and drink beer all day. Pure jealousy! What can be more beautiful than seating in small chair, freezing to the bones in some small river in the middle of nowhere? Yes, you guess from the first: Silver salmon fishing on the Kenai Peninsula.
After September 15, some areas close up tight, but the silver salmon fishing is still active. If you are the lucky one, come in September and hit a month of crisp, sunny, perfect weather. Or, catch cold and rains. Old fishermen proverb says: When you go fishing and you catch something, that's good. If you make love and catch something - that's bad. :)
Every day, except Sundays
After months of dating (if you are faster, my compliments) you are ready for next serious steps. Don't panic! I am not saying it is a time for: "Yes, I do". No, it is not. Except you're on something. Take a trip with your loved one to always-romantic Verona in Italy, and when there look for Gabria Piazzi. Her store is located in central Piazza delle Erbe. Enter without fear, but with full wallet and enjoy in your sweetheart's smile. I forgot to say what she sells? Well, she works mainly with diamonds, pearls, turquoise and corrals and the result are unique, handmade items, from rings to necklaces. And maybe your beloved will after that say: "I do". Don't blame me.
Any given day
Europe, Bosnia and Herzegovina
Since 1981, in a small village Medjugorje in Bosnia and Herzegovina, one of the most amazing spiritual events happens. Blessed Virgin Mary has been appearing and it gives the messages to the world. She tells God's words and through these years millions of pilgrims and tourists, religious or not, came to Medjugorje from all over the world. Medjugorje is one of three such spiritual places, along with Lourdes and Fatima. You are maybe a believer, and maybe you are not, but the Medjugorje is the place to visit. One is for sure: it can't hurt you.

The San Francisco Museum of Modern Art is one of the world's most innovative museums of modern and contemporary art. Its flagship program is Making Sense of Modern Art, but there are many other occasions worth visiting. This weekend Museum provides a rare glimpse into the work of Hungarian photographer Martin Munkacsi (1896-1963) with Think While You Shoot! Martin Munkacsi began his career as a sports photographer in Hungary before moving to Berlin and settling as a fashion photographer in New York.
His collection encompassing 125 of the artist's pictures, magazine spreads and print layouts spanning from the 1920s through the 1960s. If you like photography you will not regret.
