November is the month of Leonid Meteor Shower, a sky spectacle that many sky watchers enjoy the last few years.

The fastest shower meteors we can see on Earth, Leonids, are active from November 10-23, and they will enter the atmosphere with a speed of 71 km/sec. This year's annual peak will be at 23:05 UT on November 18th. It is daylight in the USA, so Asia and Indonesia are the best parts of the world to be at. The Leonid meteors are named for the constellation Leo (Lion): if you trace the paths of these meteors they appear to come from Leo. Every 33 years the Leonids are in the phase of great activity and observers will easily see hundreds and even thousands of meteors per hour during the peak.

The Japan Cup at the Tokyo Racecourse is one of the most important events of the Japanese racing and 12-race Emirates World Series. Twelve races in ten different countries make up a international fixture list. First race starting with the Dubai World Cup then comes races in England, France, Ireland, Germany and Canada. Three races runs in the USA. After USA races follows races in Australia and Japan. Series of 12 races finished in December with the Hong Kong Cup at Sha Tin racecourse in Hong Kong.
