Now, what makes Marshall London special is its design and focus on sound, and tech specs not so much. The London look will be familiar to all music fans because its designed is clearly derived from guitar amplifiers. The back looks like Marshall's traditional amplifier skin, the overall look is tough, just something we could relate to a rock 'n' roll kind of guy, it looks sturdy and able stand a lot. It definitively has a masculine look and if you want to show your tough side this is a good device to put on the table in a bar.
Marshall London costs around $580 and for that money you get a 4.7-inch 720p IPS LCD display, a quad-core 1.2GHz Snapdragon 410 processor, 16GB of storage, an 8MP camera, a removable 2500mAh battery, and you can expand memory via MicroSD slot. So, there are clearly other smartphones that costs a lot less, down to the $200 price range, and are moew powerful and with the latest technologies inside. So, this device won't the one you are buying because you want the best and fastest around.
It may be not the fastest around, but those specifications are still good enough to enjoy in the device and all apps you might be using. Since this is Marshall after all, the device is focused on sound. It is driven by Android 5.0.2 Lollipop and there are custom music apps. Two fron speakers are delivering the music to your ears and there are two headphone jacks, a very nice feature for pairs that love the same type of music. There's no doubt, that feature will be welcomed by many.
Thanks to its dual speakers using enhanced bass technology and the dedicated Hi-Fi-grade sound card, Marshall London is capable of crystal-clear playback of lossless FLAC files, giving justice to your old music files. The stereo microphone is perfect for recording on the go and features excellent noise reduction. Two users can share music simultaneously and at different volume levels. A global wide equalizer allows the user to personalize music played on the phone without having to adjust the sound on each individual music app.
The London is set to be available in 22 countries worldwide. Pre ordering was available from July 16 for delivery in late August, middle of September depending on country, and for sale online at Marshall's website beginning in August 2015. ■
