Following the tradition and enormous amount of love for food, LG presented new Ice cream mobile phones.

LG Electronics was very busy last few weeks. The company presented a range of new mobile phones, some slim, some not, some clamshell, some not... It is no surprise that some of the most interesting devices will be available in Korea, while we - the rest of the world - will have to wait.
For the global market LG launched extremely-slim LG-KF510. Along with the very attractive design, 510 has MP3 player, 3MP camera, and Auto Luminance Control that saves battery adjusting the brightness of the LED screen. It will be available in Europe, Latin America, the Middle East, Africa and Asia.
Behind the name LG LH2300 there is touch screen mobile phone. It, too, has 3MP camera, it comes in Grape Wine and Navy Blue colours, new Hello UI user interface, and lot of other cool stuff for mobile geeks. Slightly different name LG-SH240 is reserved for a mobile phone with a combination of metal style and silicon material, so the keypad resembles the texture of real skin. Bluetooth is built-in, 2MP camera and MP3 player too, and subway map and dictionary are also added.
Although those are all very interesting devices, we like Ice Cream the most. The official name is LG-LH500 and it comes in three flavours: white should buy the lovers of vanilla, sweet pink is for strawberry, and sweet blue is for ones that like pistachio. The screen is 2.2 inch, multimedia player is here, as is an e-dictionary.
It is obvious that someone at LG like food very much (Marketing manager? A hungry marketing manager?), for after the Chocolate we got an ice cream. The three phones represent the tastiest ice cream and, as it stands in company's press release, it should be very popular among the younger population. Saying that, there is no reason for older population not to have it. Why shouldn't we enjoy the colours of the youth?
LG Ice Cream weight only 100 grams, and its dimensions are 101 x 51 x 13 millimetres; the screen can deliver 262,000 colours, there is a 2 Megapixel camera and second camera for video calls. The picture will be shown in resolution 240 x 320 pixels, Ice cream has 3G capabilities built-in, the internet, e-mail, and dictionaries are unavoidable. Little beast is packed with features so 2.5 hours of talking and 140 hours of stand-by comes at no surprise. The price will be 400 to 500 dollars, for which we thinks it's reasonable.
Those are all data that we managed to understand from LG's press release in Korean. Although I wished that all press releases come in English, now I see why they write them in Korean only. It is painful enough to see the great device, it would be much more pain knowing all data and being unable to buy it outside Korea.
I tried to understand the press release and gave a chance to online translators. The result was close to horror, disaster and catastrophe, melted together and being a fantastic mess. "Price 400000 great" is the sentence no PR manager will put in PR, but translator somehow succeeded to interpret the name of Korean currency as "great". Great, really great. ■
