Selangor, Malaysia - SyQic, a provider of live TV and on-demand video content across mobile and internet enabled consumer devices, announced that William Liu Wei Hai stepped down as non-executive chairman.

Mr. Hai started his career in IT in 1970 after graduating with a degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Manchester and a MSc from Imperial College.
He is currently the Chairman and Managing Partner of Stream Global Pte Ltd.
Mr. Hai is currently a board member of SISTIC.com Pte Ltd, GreenDot Energy Pte Ltd, Payment Link Pte Ltd., and was previously a board member of the National Library Board, Singapore Computer Systems and the National Computer Board.
Mr. Hai was also a past Chairman of the Singapore Federation of the Computer Industry (SFCI) from 1995 to 1998 and a Board member of the Singapore National Computer Board and a past Chairman of the Operational Research Society of Singapore.
He was inducted into the Singapore Computer Society's Hall of Fame in 2007.
He is a member of the Group's remuneration and, audit committees.
SyQic announced that Borhanuddin Osman has joined the Board as a Non-Executive Director.
Mr. Osman brings more than twenty years of extensive experience in the advertising industry and 14 years in broadcasting to the SyQic Board.
He is in his ninth term as Commercial Radio Malaysia (CRM) President.
He also served four terms as the Chairman of the Communications and Multimedia Content Forum of Malaysia (CMCF).
He was appointed Chairman of the Programme Department of the Asia Pacific Broadcasting Union (ABU).
SyQic announced that, having served for the past year as a Non-Executive Director of SyQic, David Cotterell will be appointed as Non-Executive Chairman.
Mr. Cotterell has nearly 30 years of experience in the software and computer services sector having held senior management roles with firms such as ACT Financial Systems, DST, Advent and AIM listed SQS Group plc, where he was also responsible for investor relations.
Mr. Cotterell holds other IT related board level positions with AIM listed Incadea plc, RapidCloud International plc and Crossrider plc. ■
