Dato' Yusof Abdul Rahman new managing director of Bank Rakyat

Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia - October 26, 2012, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia - Bank Rakyat announced the appointment of Dato' Yusof Abdul Rahman as its managing director.

Mr. Rahman, who has been Acting Managing Director, was formerly the Bank's Senior General Manager, Corporate Services for two years. He started his career at Bank Pembangunan Malaysia Berhad in 1980, holding various senior positions in different departments, including Branch Manager, Head of Human Resource and Administration, Head of Industrial Development, and Head of Credit Supervision.

Mr. Rahman joined Bank Rakyat in 2000 as Head of Human Resource Development Sector and was subsequently appointed as Head of Operations and Branch Business Sector in 2004. He was then appointed Assistant General Manager, Consumer Products and Services, and General Manager, Consumer Banking. He then held the General Manager, Commercial Banking position and was appointed the Bank's Senior General Manager, Corporate Services.
