Kingsport, Tenn., USA - September 10, 2013, Kingsport, Tenn., USA - Eastman Chemical Company announced that Ronald C. Lindsay has been appointed COO, Brad A. Lich as executive vice president, and Mark K. Cox as senior vice president, effective January 1, 2014.

Mr. Lindsay joined Eastman Chemical Company as a chemical engineer in manufacturing and process development, Acid Division. He served in various capacities in manufacturing and in 1994 was appointed to the Industrial Intermediates business organization as Market Manager for Acetyls.
Mr. Lindsay served as Superintendent of the Development Department in Acid Division, Managing Director of Primester, and Superintendent of Acid Division and Organic Chemicals Division. He later assumed responsibility as Director of Performance Chemicals and Intermediates Business Projects.
In 2003, Mr. Lindsay became Vice President and General Manager of Intermediates Business Organization and in 2005, acquired additional responsibility for the Performance Chemicals Business. In 2006, he was named Senior Vice President and Chief Technology Officer. In 2008, he was appointed Senior Vice President, Corporate Strategy and Regional Leadership.
Mr. Lindsay became Executive Vice President of Performance Chemicals and Intermediates, Fibers, Engineering & Construction and Worldwide in May of 2009 and was appointed to his current position in June of 2011.
Mr. Lindsay graduated magna cum laude from Clemson University in 1980 with a B.S. degree in chemical engineering. He completed the Advanced Management Program at Harvard Business School in November of 2002.
Mr. Lich was previously Vice President and General Manager of Coatings, Adhesives, Specialty Polymers, and Inks. He joined Eastman in 2001 as Director of Global Product Management and Marketing for Coatings. He was also Vice President of Global Marketing. Prior to joining Eastman, he was Co-Founder and CEO of coatingsMart, Inc.
Mr. Lich holds a bachelor's degree from Indiana University and a master's degree from Northwestern Kellogg Graduate School of Management.
Mr. Cox joined Eastman in 1986 and has served in a variety of management positions, including various leadership roles within the Business Management, Manufacturing, and Technology areas.
Mr. Cox is a licensed Professional Engineer, a Senior Member of the American Institute of Chemical Engineers, and a member of the Tau Beta Pi Engineering Honor Society. He currently serves on the Construction Industry Institute's Executive Committee. He holds one U.S. and several international patents associated with process technology currently practiced by Eastman. ■
