Leadership changes at BMO Capital Markets

Toronto, ON, Canada - September 4, 2014, Toronto, ON, Canada - BMO Financial Group announced leadership changes at BMO Capital Markets, effective November 1, 2014.

Darryl White, Head of Global Investment & Corporate Banking, is appointed Group Head, BMO Capital Markets.

Mr. White was appointed Head of Global Investment & Corporate Banking (I&CB) in 2012. Mr. White has been advising the firm’s clients with financing and mergers and acquisitions transactions for many years. He joined BMO Capital Markets in 1994 and served in various practices in Toronto including the M&A, Diversified Industries and Communications & Technology Groups, prior to being appointed Head of I&CB Montreal in 2006.

He also served as co-head of the firm’s Media & Communication practice. In 2010, Darryl was appointed Deputy Head, Investment & Corporate Banking Canada and Global Head, Equity Capital Markets. Mr. White currently serves on the BMO Capital Markets Operating, Executive and Management committees. He has also served on the boards of various community and philanthropic causes and is a Director of the Montreal Canadiens.

He is a past recipient of Canada’s Top 40 Under 40 Award and a Dean’s Honor list graduate of the University of Western Ontario’s Ivey Business School.

Patrick Cronin, Head of Trading Products, is appointed Chief Operating Officer, BMO Capital Markets.

Mr. Cronin was appointed Head of Trading Products in 2011. He joined BMO Capital Markets in 1993 and since then has held primary trading responsibility for index arbitrage, equity options, warrants, convertible bonds, quantitative strategies and Hedge Fund client coverage. In 2001, he was appointed Co-Head of the Equity Derivatives Group and Co-Head of Financial Products four years later.

Mr. Cronin currently serves on the BMO Capital Markets Operating, Executive and Management Committees. He also serves on the Board of the Canadian Merit Scholarship Foundation. He holds an MBA from the Ivey School of Business and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Toronto.
