George Town, Cayman Islands - May 15, 2014, George Town, Cayman Islands - Leaf Clean Energy Company, a renewable energy and sustainable technology investment firm, announces the appointment of its CEO Jim Potochny to the board.

Mr. Potochny was appointed CFO of Leaf Clean Energy in May 2010. His 25 year career spans many industries, combining corporate development, finance, accounting, and regulatory compliance experience.
Mr. Potochny has been chief financial officer at several venture-backed private companies, including, most recently, MicroEdge, a grant management software solutions company in New York City. Prior to MicroEdge, he was CFO of Arkivio, a lifecycle management software solutions company, CDS, a network attached storage company and Axicon Technologies, a power train gearing technology company.
Earlier in his career, Mr. Potochny held positions in corporate development, finance and accounting at Hewlett-Packard, and worked as a manufacturing engineer at Intel Corporation. He holds an MBA from Stanford University and a BS in Electrical Engineering from Yale University.
The company also announced the resignation of Curt Moffatt as Director.
Mr. Moffatt joined the board in 2007 when the Company was admitted to AIM. He is a partner at Van Ness Feldman, a law firm specialising in US energy and environmental laws where he counsels clients on issues including project development, climate change, and corporate restructuring.
Mr. Moffatt has represented energy clients for over 30 years before state and federal regulatory commissions, courts and legislative bodies. In addition, he has served as special regulatory counsel in financial transactions that include public and private placements involving cogeneration and gas and petroleum products pipeline projects.
Mr. Moffatt is a member of the Board of Visitors of the Nicholas School of the Environment at Duke University, and is a regular participant in the Energy and Environment programs of the Aspen Institute. He has served on the board of the Charitable Foundation of the Energy Bar Association and has served on the boards of several philanthropic organisations. ■
