Pliva: Tim Sawyer resigned from the management board

Zagreb, Croatia - July 24, 2009, Zagreb, Croatia - Pliva, a pharmaceutical company and a member of Teva group, announced that Tim Sawyer, a member of the management board, has resigned from his position.

Mr. Sawyer earned his Bachelors Degree from the University of Richmond and started his career at the law firm of Winston & Strawn. Mr. Sawyer has joined Barr in 1993 as Manager, Sales Administration, was promoted to the position of Associate Director New Business Development in 1996., in 2000 he was promoted to Director of Sales Administration and New Business. Mr. Sawyer has been named Vice President in 2001 and promoted to Senior Vice President in November 2006. As Executive Vice President, Global Generic Sales and Marketing Operations, Mr. Sawyer was responsible for the Company's generic commercial operations for Europe/Rest of World and the U.S. Prior to Pliva's management board, Mr. Sawyer served as Barr's Senior Vice President of European Commercial Development, with responsibility in the European and ROW markets for all sales and marketing activit
