Rome Italy - October 10, 2012, Rome Italy - Telecom Italia Media announced the appointment of chief financial officer Piergiorgio Peluso to the company's board of directors.

Following a period at Mediobanca as Senior Financial Analyst, at Credit Suisse First Boston as Vice President of Financial Institutions Group, and Mergers & Acquisitions Group, in 2002 Mr. Peluso joined Medio Credito Centrale (Capitalia Group) as Central Director Advisory Area. He retained this position until 2005 when he was appointed Central Director at Capitalia.
Following the merger of Capitalia and UniCredit Group, Mr. Peluso was Head of Investment Banking Italy at UniCredit Group. He was then appointed as CEO of UniCredit Corporate Banking, and following the merger of UniCredit Corporate Banking with UniCredit he was appointed Head of Corporate & Investment Banking Italy, UniCredit Group.
From 2011 to September 2012 Mr. Peluso was Managing Director of Fondiaria SAI, and since September 2012 he served as the head of Administration, Finance and Control at Telecom Italia.
After graduating in Economic and Social Sciences from the Universite Commerciale Luigi Bocconi in 1992, with a specialisation in Finance, Mr. Peluso held the position of experienced accountant at Arthur Andersen & Co.
The company als announced the resignations of director Andrea Mangoni, a Managing Director of South American Business at Telecom Italia.
Mr. Mangoni served as Head of Administration, Finance and Control and International Development at Telecom Italia and he was Director of Administration, Finance and Control. He began his professional career in InterAmerican Development Bank (World Bank Group). He also worked in Acea, where he held various roles including CEO, President Assistant, manager of the Finance Department, and Strategic Planning Director.
Mr. Mangoni was appointed common representative of the Joint Venture among Acea, Electrabel and Energia Italiana, which brought to the acquisition of Interpower. Mr. Mangoni was also Chief Financial Officer, General Manger, and chief executive officer of Acea. ■
