UniCredit appoints new Bank Austria CEO

Rome, Italy - January 19, 2016, Rome, Italy - UniCredit announced that Robert Zadrazil will succeed Willibald Cernko as chief executive officer of Bank Austria on March 1, 2016.

Mr. Zadrazil has been the Head of Private Banking Division at UniCredit Bank Austria AG since October 1, 2011 and has been its Member of Management Board since October 1, 2011.

He Founded a UniCredit Bank in 1996, specialising in project management, IT and organisation.

He served as Head of Bank Organisation department.

Since 2004, he served as Head of the ORG / IT Management division, first in HVB and then, after acquisition, in UniCredit Group.

In January 2006, he was appointed Member of the Managing Board of Bank Austria Creditanstalt AG, Chief Operating Officer, Global Banking Services.

Mr. Zadrazil serves as Non-executive member of Board of administration of UniCredit Tiriac Bank S.A.

He serves as a Member of the Board (COO) of Bank Austria Creditanstalt Global Banking Services (GBS).

He has been a Member of Supervisory Board at Oesterreichische Kontrollbank Aktiengesellschaft since May 19, 2009, HVB Splitska banka d.d since April 6, 2005 and Zagrebacka Banka D.D since April 17, 2007.

He served as a Member of the Supervisory Board at HVB Information Services GmbH and Public Joint Stock Company Ukrsotsbank.

He served as a Member of Supervisory Board at BKS Bank AG since May 11, 2006.

He served as Member of Supervisory Board of UniCredit Bank since February 11, 2008; and UniCredit Bank Czech Republic a.s from February 1, 2005 to October 23, 2007.

He served as Member of Supervisory Board at Societe Generale Splitska Banka d.d from April 6, 2005 to June 30, 2006.

Mr. Zadrazil served as Member of the Supervisory Board at UniCredit Tiriac Bank S.A. until September 30, 2009.

Mr. Zadrazil graduated from TGM Technical College in Vienna Communications with a Diploma in Engineering and Electronics.

Mr. Cernko studied at the Export Academy Wirtschaftsuniversität (Vienna).

Before joining UniCredit, he worked for 2 years in Raiffeisenkasse Obdach-Weißenkirchen (1983-1985).

He joined Creditanstalt AG in 1985, where he held various positions within the Corporate Banking Division.

In 1996 he became the Deputy Head of Corporate Banking Division and in 1998 the Head of the Corporate Banking Division.

From 2000 till 2002 he was the Head of Corporate Banking Division at Bank Austria AG.

In 2002 he was appointed Head of CEE Division in Bank Austria Creditanstalt AG with the task of following the merger of Bank Austria and Creditanstalt.

From January 2003 till 2007 he served as Member of the Management Board of Bank Austria Creditanstalt AG with responsibility for Retail and Corporate Customers.

Additionally from 2006 till 2008 Mr. Cernko was appointed Member of the Management Board as Head of Retail Division at UniCredit Bank AG (also known as Bayerische Hypo-und Vereinsbank AG).

From January 2008 till September 2009 he became the Head of Retail Division Germany and Austria, and at the same time was Member of the Management Board as Head of Retail Division at UniCredit Bank AG.
