U.S. Energy Development Corporation appoints three executives

Buffalo, N.Y., USA - May 11, 2010, Buffalo, N.Y., USA - U.S. Energy Development Corporation, a oil and natural gas producer, announced that is has appointed three senior executives.

The new executives are: R. Michael Stophlet as COO, Jordan M. Jayson as vice president of business development, and Ted Lawver as production manager.

Mr. Stophlet oversees U.S. Energy Development Corporation's operations and production divisions. His extensive background in the oil and gas industry includes a 22-year career with Schlumberger Limited (one of the world's largest oil field service companies) in Oklahoma, Utah, Colorado, Wyoming, Arkansas, Texas, Alaska, as well as in the North Sea and Russia.

Mr. Stophlet has excelled in roles from field engineering, technical management to executive leadership. He served as President and Chief Executive Officer for AES Services, Inc. (a construction and technical services organization with 4,000 employees). Mr. Stophlet is a member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers. He received his Bachelor of Science in Geology from the University of Arkansas.

Mr. Jayson manages U.S. Energy Development Corporation’s Acquisitions and Divestitures department. Prior to joining the company, Mr. Jayson focused on portfolio management and international trading at S.A.C. Capital from offices on Wall Street and in London. Mr. Jayson holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Johns Hopkins University.

Mr. Lawver brings to U.S. Energy Development Corporation more than 20 years experience in Appalachian Basin oil and natural gas drilling activities. Previously, he was operations manager for Enervest. Mr. Lawver supervised a staff responsible for the production of more than 575 wells in Ohio. He also spearheaded the corporate safety and environmental aspects of the drilling operations. â–
