Home office is a great idea if you have space, but if you don't you still have options to create one.

If you have a balcony, even a small one, you're good to go. Many balconies are already closed, and if they aren't it's not complicated to put the glass and make a small room out of it. You have space for a desk, a chair, some shelves, and that's in essence all you need. Put all that along the side, if you need more books or materials for work put them along the other side, and you have your small, quite place for work, but completely focused on business, without any distractions from other parts of yout home.
There are loggias that are just partly divided from the rest of your home, but that's good enough. You need a dedicated space to work, and those small spaces are usually empty or they are used as a storage. So, they are ideal to put your stuff in and make some use of it. Small areas, like a partial wall, can be used to put your materials on it, and you can use every inch of it. Formally dividing that small loggia from the room will make a clear statement that you are working there and you will feel like you are going to your office every day.
Like in any other loggia or balcony, furniture is important for you home office. It has to be ergonomical, so think about a curved desk without legs installed on the wall. You will have more space for your legs under it and, if it is an L-shaped corner desk, you will have all your things within reach. You may choose materials for outdoor use but that's not critical if the space is closed and you have any form or heating inside. Keep colors bright to visually enhance the space.
If your loggia is still empty and you plan to decorate it yourself, you can do it in a few easy steps. You can paint the wall or use some interesting wallpapers, the only rule here is to choose what you like. Then you'll have to have some storage space in a form of boxes or just open shelves, whichever you need. And don't forget light. Install lights above your head, a chandelier will do, and have some lamp on your desk. Don't forget some small details that will make the space your own and you're done! ■
