Banse, Calderoni and Desmond new board members at Adobe Systems

Ms. Banse is Managing Director and Head of Funds for Comcast Ventures and leads strategy for the fund as it determines how best to support its portfolio companies thru the Comcast/NBCUniversal platform.
Ms. Banse has more than 20 years of experience investing in, starting and building companies at Comcast. During her tenure, she has closed hundreds of deals, acquired multiple cable television networks, and launched several others. She was the founder of Comcast's digital media division, Comcast Interactive Media (CIM).
Ms. Banse joined Comcast in 1991 as an in-house attorney responsible for programming acquisition. She spent the early part of her career at Comcast overseeing the development of Comcast’s cable network portfolio, including the company’s investments in E! Entertainment Television, The Golf Channel, and VERSUS and the launch of G4, PBS KIDS Sprout, TV One and Comcast’s sports networks.
In 2005, Ms. Banse founded Comcast Interactive Media (CIM) and led the company's online strategy over the next 6 years, overseeing multiple acquisitions as well as the in-house development and management of Comcast.net, Xfinity.com and Xfinitytv.com, Fancast and Swirl.
Ms. Banse received a B.A. from Harvard University and a JD from Temple University Law School.
Mr. Calderoni is Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer at Cisco. Mr. Calderoni joined Cisco in 2004 from QLogic Corporation, a storage networking company where he was the Senior Vice President and CFO. Prior to that, he was the Senior Vice President, Finance and Administration and CFO for SanDisk Corporation.
Previously, Mr. Calderoni spent 21 years at IBM Corporation and was promoted to Vice President prior to taking on two CFO roles. While at IBM he held CFO responsibilities for several divisions, including Global Small Business, Storage Systems, and the IBM Server Group.
Mr. Calderoni holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting and finance from Fordham University and a master of business administration degree in finance from Pace University.
Ms. Desmond was one of the youngest CEOs when she was tapped to lead SMG globally in 2008. An SMG veteran, Ms. Desmond was most recently CEO of SMG-The Americas where she cultivated and grew the brand throughout the U.S., Canada and Latin America. ■
