Change in Stora Enso’s group leadership team

Helsinki, Finland - September 22, 2014, Helsinki, Finland - Stora Enso Oyj announces that Juha Vanhainen will leave his position at Stora Enso as of March 15, 2015.




Mr. Vanhainen, currently, EVP, energy, logistics, business information services and wood supply operations in Finland and Sweden, joined Stora Enso Oulu in 1990 and held various production and project management positions at Stora Enso, Oulu Paper Mill from 1993 to 1998.

He served as General Manager and Mill Director of Stora Enso Fine Paper, Oulu Mill from 1999 to 2003. Mr. Vanhainen also served as Senior Vice President of Office Paper, Stora Enso Fine Paper, London from 2003 to 2007. He served as the Chairman of Finnish Forest Industries Federation.

He has been Deputy Chairman of Pohjolan Voima Oyj since March 23, 2009 and its Director since October 15, 2008. He serves as a Member of Supervisory Board at Ilmarinen Pension Insurance Co. Ltd. and Ilmarinen Mutual Pension Insurance Company. He serves as a Member of the Board of Directors of several subsidiaries and associated companies.
