Helsinki, Finland - October 19, 2012, Helsinki, Finland - Comptel Corporation, a software company, announces that Mauro Carobene, SVP Europe West, will be appointed as chief market operations officer, effective November 1, 2012.

Mr. Carobene joined Comptel in 2011. He is the member of the Executive Board since 2011. Mr. Carobene previously held various senior solution management and sales positions in Nokia Siemens Networks and Nokia since 1998, most recently he was responsible for OSS consulting and systems integration business globally at NSN.
The following appointments will take place as of November 1, 2012.
Mika Korpinen will move from the Head of Asia-Pacific business area to the Head of Middle East and Africa business area.
Mr. Korpinen, Engineer of Telecommunications, joined Comptel in 2001. He is the member of the Executive Board since 2009. Mr. Korpinen previously worked as Head of Hong Kong office and as Sales Director of North Asia. Before joining Comptel Mr. Korpinen worked as Senior Manager at Elcoteq Asia Ltd. in Hong Kong and as General Manager of Tecnomen in Hong Kong.
Sami Ahonen, SVP Legal & M&A will become the Head of Europe East business area.
Mr. Ahonen joined Comptel in 2001. He is the member of the Executive Board since 2011. He has previously worked as General Counsel and as Legal Counsel. Prior to joining Comptel, Mr. Ahonen worked as Legal Counsel at Otso Law and the Technical Research Centre of Finland.
Kevin Taylor Head of UKBI cluster will become the Head of Europe West business area. Diego Becker will continue as the Head of Americas business area. Timo Koistinen will move from the Head of Europe East position to hold an interim position as the Head of Asia Pacific business area, while a search for a permanent Head is under way. After this assignment Mr. Koistinen will assume the role of Head of Enterprise Sales for Comptel, reporting to the CMO.
The current Head of Middle East and Africa business area - Veqar Islam has decided to step down from his position due to family and health reasons. He will support the new Head of the business area, Mr. Mika Korpinen, until the end of year 2012 and after which he will leave the company. ■
