Roger Demers appointed to the board of the Business Development Bank of Canada

Ottawa, ON, Canada - January 21, 2010, Ottawa, ON, Canada - The Honourable Tony Clement, Minister of Industry and Minister responsible for the Business Development Bank of Canada (BDC), announced the appointment of Roger Demers as a member of the Board of Directors.

Mr. Demers previously held various positions with the accounting firm Raymond Chabot Grant Thornton. He was responsible for the application of professional standards, recruitment, and staff evaluation and training. He was chair of the business lines committee and partner in charge of financial institutions and the academic sector.

Mr. Demers was also partner in charge of client files, professional training, and the design and implementation of management and control systems for manufacturing and distribution firms.
