Tun Dr Mahathir resigns as chairman of PROTON

Subang Jaya, Malaysia - April 1, 2016, Subang Jaya, Malaysia - PROTON Holdings Berhad, a joint venture between the Malaysian government and Mitsubishi, announced the resignation of Yang Amat Berbahagia Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad as chairman of PROTON.

Mr. Tun Dr Mahathir has been the Advisor of PROTON Group since late 2003 after stepping down as the 4th Prime Minister of Malaysia. It was his vision, ideas and leadership that has guided PROTON since its inception in 1983. He became PROTON Chairman in May 16, 2014.
